George Berto Odineal

George Berto Odineal was born July 26, 1918 and died September 20, 2015. The beloved father died Sunday night at his home with his daughters at his side. A resident of the Daylight Community, he was a diligent, hardworking man. He was a retired carpenter, contractor and farmer, and a member of the Church of Christ. He married Eliza J. Alley July 31, 1937, who preceded him in death in 2002. He was the son of the late George T. and Dala Hendrix Odineal. Sisters, Mary Belle Rigby, Willie Mae Passons and Rosie Jane York preceded him in death. Sons, George Ray and Bybee Clifford Odineal, son-in-law, Ron Martin, and great-grandson, Skylar Odineal also preceded him in death. He is survived by two daughters and son-in-law, Carolyn Martin of McMinnville and Barbara and David Bouldin of McMinnville; two daughters-in-law, DeAnna Odineal and Carolyn Faye Odineal both of McMinnville; twelve grandchildren and several great-grandchildren; brother-in-law, Ernest Passons of McMinnville; and several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 23, 2015 in High's Chapel with Charles Williams officiating. Burial will follow in Bethany Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday and from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service Wednesday at High's.
