James Arlin Grissom

McMinnville, TN resident and Warren County, TN native James Arlin Grissom, age 69, was born July 24, 1946 and died October 21, 2015 at St. Thomas River Park Hospital following a seven-month illness. A nurseryman and a member of the Church of Christ, he was the son of the late James Thomas and Dorothy Mae Clark. He was married May 15, 1972 to Jene Grissom of McMinnville. In addition to his wife, he is survived by five children, Arlene Randolph and Russell Pease, Jimmy Grissom and Marty Childress, and Jennifer Grissom all of McMinnville, and Darlene Sylvester of Chicago, IL, and Jeff and Lisa Grissom of Smithville, TN; and twelve grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, October 26, 2015 in High's Chapel with Pokie George officiating. Burial will follow in Smyrna Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. Sunday and from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service Monday at High's.
