Orene Adams

Rock Island, TN resident and Warren County, TN native Orene Adams, age 94, was born April 26, 1921 and died October 27, 2015 at NHC Healthcare in McMinnville following an extended illness. A farmer and a member of the Church of God, he was the son of the late Bob and Maude Elkins Adams. He was married to Iris Novella Bain Adams who preceded him in death on February 28, 2004. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by two grandsons, Timmy Adams and Daniel Ballew; three brothers, Lonnie Adams, Marshall Adams and Berlin Adams; and three sisters, Lou Todd, Lena Smithson and Bobbie Pack. He is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Deborah and Bobby Ballew of Rock Island, TN; three sons and daughters-in-law, Bobby and Edith Adams of McMinnville, Julius and Brenda Adams of McMinnville, and Bill Adams of Spencer, TN; and nine grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, October 30, 2015 in High's Chapel with Andy Rogers and Mack White officiating. Burial will follow in Shiloh Cemetery at Mud Creek. Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Thursday and from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service Friday at High's.
