Kathleen Byassee

Kathleen Jones Byassee, age 95, a McMinnville, TN resident and Friendship, TN native was born October 7, 1920 and died November 11, 2015 at her residence following an extended illness. She was a homemaker, member of the First United Methodist Church and daughter of the late David H. and Edna York Jones. Mrs. Byassee was married April 23, 1941 to Leon Dodds Byassee who preceded her in death. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by sister, Carrie Mae Jones and brother, Franklin Jones. Mrs. Byassee is survived by daughters, Bettye (Edmund) Grady of Fayetteville, NC and Jenny (Bill) Mullican of McMinnville; three granddaughters, Kathleen (Byron) Browning of Annandale, VA, Dallas (Chris) Stanley of Greensboro, NC and Carrie (Chris) Tish of Charlotte, NC; two grandsons, Dodd (Kathleen) Mullican of Birmingham, AL and Will (April) Mullican of Spring Hill, TN; ten great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Graveside service and interment will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 28, 2015 in Mt. View Cemetery with Bob Case and James Johnson to officiate. Visitation will be Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. at High's.
