Joe Lane Howard

Joe Lane Howard, age 81, a Warren County, TN native and McMinnville, TN resident died December 3, 2015 at NHC Healthcare, McMinnville following an extended illness. He was the former owner of McMinnville's Dairy Queen, veteran of the Tennessee Army National Guard, member of the First Baptist Church and son of the late Asa T. and Ola Mai Wilson Howard. Mr. Howard was married September 19, 1952 to his wife of sixty years, Betty June Kirby Howard who preceded him in death January 3, 2013. He was also preceded in death by brother and sister-in-law, Jim and Janice Howard. He is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Barry & Kathy Howard of Brentwood, TN; brother and sister-in-law, Ronnie & Betty Howard of McMinnville and special friend, Brenda Marlowe of McMinnville. Memorial service will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, December 7, 2015 at First Baptist Church with Bo Hendrix and Derek Howard to officiate. Visitation will be 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Sunday, December 6, 2015 at High's. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Magness Memorial Library or First Baptist Church.
