Vickie Denise Comfort

Vickie Denise Comfort, age 50, a McMinnville, TN resident and Van Buren County, TN native died December 5, 2015 at her residence following a brief illness. She was a homemaker and daughter of the late Donald Thomas Writtenberry and Dorothy May O'neal. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by grandson, Gaige Thomas; grandmother, Marry Lou Nunley; uncle, Sam Phillips and step-father, Edward O'neal. Mrs. Comfort was married June 4, 1997 to Jerry Lee Comfort who survives. She is also survived by sons, Charles (Renee) Tanner and Donald Thomas Tanner (Fiancee Darian Craig) both of McMinnville; daughter, Krystal Denise Tanner of McMinnville; sister, Mary JoAnn (Ricky) Comfort of McMinnville; several nieces and nephews and godchild, Daystin King. Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 8, 2015 in High's Chapel with Larry Neal and Ed Fults to officiate. Interment will follow in the Smyrna Cemetery. Visitation will be 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday, December 7, 2015 and 9:00 a.m. Tuesday until time of service at High's.
