Luther Wayne Fisher

Luther Wayne Fisher, age 68, a Sparta, TN resident and DeKalb County, TN native died December 9, 2015 in NHC Healthcare of McMinnville following an extended illness. He was an employee with White County Lumber, member of Cumberland Presbyterian Church and son of the late Luke Lee and Ovlean Hendrixson Fisher. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by grandson, Tyler Green-Fisher; brother, Carl David Fisher and sister, Linda Cantrell. Mr. Fisher is survived by sons, Michael (Peggy) Fisher of McMinnville, TN and Dusty (Angie) Fisher of the Irving College Community; daughter, Heather (Ryan) Green of Sparta; grandchildren, Timothy Green-Fisher and Whinston Alford; brother, Walter R. (Brenda) Fisher of McMinnville; sisters, Maggie Hughes of McMinnville, Shirley Fisher of Smithville, TN and Barbara Grissom of Rock Island, TN; several nieces and nephews and the mother of his children, Donna Rutledge of Campaign, TN. A graveside service will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 11, 2015 at Whorton Springs Cemetery with family members to officiate.
