Linda G. Bates Young

Holland, OH resident and McMinnville, TN native Linda G. Bates Young, age 72, was born June 9, 1943 and died December 9, 2015 at the Hospice of Northwest Ohio following an extended illness. A retired nurse's aide, she was the daughter of the late Toy and Hazel Starkey Bates. She was married October 13, 1961 to Glenn Montgomery Young who preceded her in death. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Tom, Charles and Bill Bates. She is survived by son, Eric Young of San Jose, CA; daughter and son-in-law, Cindy and Chris Eppink of Toledo, OH; sister and brother-in-law, Melba and Steve Marcrom of McMinnville; and several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, December 12, 2015 in High's Chapel with Jon Ballard officiating. Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. until the time of service Saturday at High's. There will be a private burial in Mt. View Cemetery.
