Hassie Lee Dykes

McMinnville, TN resident and Warren County, TN native Hassie Lee Dykes, age 79, was born April 1, 1936 and died December 11, 2015 at St. Thomas River Park Hospital following an extended illness. Retired from B & P Lamp Supply and a member of the Baptist Church, she was the daughter of the late Thurman and Della Myers Basham. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Cecil, Harold, Jimmy and Tommy Basham; sister, Reba Joyce Fults; step-son, Gary Dykes; brother-in-law, Preston Doak; and sister-in-law, Teresa Basham. She was married October 16, 1976 to Harold Dykes of McMinnville. In addition to her husband, she is survived by two brothers and sister-in-law, Horace and Pam Basham of McMinnville and Dickie Lee Basham of McMinnville; four sisters, Mary Basham (Jose') Santiago of Viola, TN, and Elaine Basham Doak, Peggy Basham Fults and Judy Basham Stotts all of McMinnville; former brother-in-law, Chris Fults of McMinnville; daughter-in-law, Karen Dykes of Harrison, TN; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and one great-great-niece. Funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday, December 14, 2015 in High's Chapel with Billy Campbell officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Zion Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Sunday and from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service Monday at High's.
