Emma Gladys Pope

Morrison, TN resident and Warren County, TN native Emma Gladys Pope, age 90, was born November 5, 1925 and died December 17, 2015 at NHC Healthcare in McMinnville following an extended illness. Retired from Carrier Air Conditioning Company and a member of Grange Hall Church of Christ, she was the daughter of the late Bryan and Lodema Roberts Bouldin. She was married August 8, 1942 to Bernice Pope who preceded her in death on September 10, 1991. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by son, Charles L. Pope; and two sisters, Pauline McCormick and Birdie Grissom. She is survived by two sons and daughter-in-law, Lannie and Judy Pope of Woodbury, TN and Greg Pope of Morrison, TN; three grandchildren and spouses, Susan and Heath Nokes, Carla and Brian Parker, and Marcie Pope; four great-grandchildren, Sam, Ashlyn and Eli Nokes, and Emily Parker; two brothers and sister-in-law, J.C. and Rosie Bouldin of Morrison, TN and Wilmus Bouldin of Morrison, TN; sister and brother-in-law, Martha and Rayburn Holt of Morrison, TN; and several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Sunday, December 20, 2015 in High's Chapel with James Nelson and Titus Ward officiating. Burial will follow in Bascom Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Saturday and from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service Sunday at High's.
