Scottie Ray Gilbert

Scottie Ray Gilbert, age 46, a Morrison, TN resident and Warren County, TN native died January 2, 2016 in St. Thomas River Park Hospital following a sudden illness. He was an employee with Highland Rim Construction Company, member of the Church of Christ and son of Junetta Gilbert of McMinnville, TN and the late Billy Howard Gilbert. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by brother-in-law, Barry Hale. Mr. Gilbert was married July 1997 to Cynthia Rackley Gilbert of Morrison who survives. In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by daughter, Amber Gilbert (Corey Passenger) of Woodbury, TN; son, Ryan Gilbert (Meghan Albany) of Rock Island, TN; granddaughter, Tabitha Randall; brothers, Ritchie (Lisa) Gilbert and Jeffery Gilbert both of McMinnville; adopted sister, Melinda Walling of Spencer, TN; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Linda Lee (Russell Goney) of Sparta, TN, Lee Ellis of Nashville, TN, Donna (Barry) Wanamaker of McMinnville, Ronald Mullican of Centertown, Mary Ann Hale of Michigan and Valerie Hale of Nashville; nephew, Tristen Gilbert of McMinnville and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Graveside service and interment will be 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 6, 2016 with Tony Lawrence to officiate. Visitation will be 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Wednesday at High's. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Kids of the Community.
