Pearlene Jane Ramsey

Rock Island, TN resident and Franklin County, TN native Pearlene Jane Ramsey, age 90, was born March 4, 1925 and died January 9, 2016 at St. Thomas River Park Hospital following an extended illness. A retired machine operator with Genesco and member of the Church of Christ, she was the daughter of the late Lillie Belle Brown. In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her husband, Oscar Ikeard and brothers, James Jones, Earl Jones, Willie Jones and Don Robertson. Mrs. Ramsey is survived by three sisters, Carolyn Sue (Issac) Cummings of Murfreesboro, TN, Lillie Mae Martin of Detroit, MI and Birdia Thomas of McMinnville; brother Robert Jones of McMinnville; two sons, Oscar Lee Ikeard and Paul Ikeard both of Rock Island, TN; four daughters, Maudie Kennerly, Mae Ikeard and Bobbie Ikeard all of Rock Island, TN and Valerie Miller of Murfreesboro, TN; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews and former husband, Paul Ramsey of McMinnville. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 13, 2016 in High's Chapel with Bro. Jerry Rutledge officiating. Burial will follow in the Gardens of Memory. Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. until time of service Wednesday at High's.
