Terry Joe Thompson

Terry Joe Thompson, age 57, a McMinnville, TN resident and Detroit, MI native died January 11, 2016 in St. Thomas River Park Hospital following an extended illness. He was a self employed nursery contractor, member of Shellsford Baptist Church and son of the late Wayne and Mattie Holland Thompson. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by brother, Jimmy Bess. Mr. Thompson was married January 14, 1995 to Brenda Sharon Nunley who survives. He is also survived by daughters, Liz (Derrick) Michael of Knoxville, TN, Ashley (Micah) Black, Kristie Thompson and Jenny (Dirk) Harper all of McMinnville; sons, Josh Thompson of McMinnville and Joe Thompson of Colorado; grandchildren, Kaiden Thompson, Bryson Black and Brayden Thompson; numerous cousins, aunts, uncles and friends. Funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 13, 2016 in High's Chapel with David Daugherty to officiate. Interment will follow in the Shellsford Cemetery. Visitation will be 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 12, 2016 and 10:00 a.m. Wednesday until time of service at High's.
