Carolyn Duane Turner

Smithville, TN resident and Eva, AL native Carolyn Duane Turner, age 77, was born April 1, 1938 and died January 16, 2016 at St. Thomas River Park Hospital following an extended illness. A retired employee from Oster Corporation and a member of Corinth Church of Christ, she was the daughter of the late Linzy Elton and Ann Tanner Mason. She was married November 6, 1971 to Hubert Nelson Turner who preceded her in death May 21, 2015. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Drucilla "Deci" Crouch, Mary Jean Ralph, and Paulette Mingle. She is survived by special granddaughter, Kendra (Craig) Adcock Smithson of Murfreesboro, TN; two brothers, Kenneth Mason of McMinnville and Billy (Violet) Mason of McMinnville; special nephew, Tommy (Gail) Crouch of McMinnville; and several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, January 24, 2016 in High's Chapel with Drew Milligan officiating. Burial will follow in Corinth Cemetery, DeKalb County, TN. Visitation will be 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Saturday and from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service Sunday at High's.
