Steven Taylor Johnson

McMinnville, TN resident and Gadsden, AL native Steven Taylor Johnson, age 53, was born February 22, 1962 and died February 1, 2016 at St. Thomas West Hospital in Nashville, TN following a sudden illness. The Director of Human Resources for Caney Fork Electric, he was the son of the late James Edward and Sara Frances Taylor Johnson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by father-in-law and mother-in-law, Jimmy and Melba Griffith. He was married November 14, 1987 to Beth Griffith Johnson of McMinnville. In addition to his wife, he is survived by daughter, Taylor Elizabeth Johnson of McMinnville; brother, Jim Johnson of Mableton, GA; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Randy and Lisa Garrison of McMinnville; and nephews, Ross Garrison and wife Lacy of Cookeville, TN and Reed Tucker Garrison of McMinnville. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, February 4, 2016 in High's Chapel with Jared Johnston and Ross Garrison officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. View Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday and from 12:00 p.m. until 1:30 p.m. Thursday at High's. In lieu of flowers and gifts, a memorial account for Taylor Johnson's continuing educational pursuits has been set up at Regions Bank.
