Penny Dale Gunter

Penny Dale Gunter, age 56, a McMinnville, TN resident and Warren County, TN native died February 11, 2016 in St. Thomas River Park Hospital following a sudden illness. She was a homemaker, member of First Church of Jesus Christ Apostolic Faith and daughter of the late Willard and Hazel King Rutledge. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by sisters, Charlotte Rutledge and Renee Rutledge and brother, Johnny Tellus Rutledge. Mrs. Gunter was married October 14, 1978 to Frankie Lee Gunter who survives. She is also survived by children, Frankie Gunter, Jr. (Jackie King) of the Centertown Community and Russell Lee Gunter of McMinnville; grandchildren, Kaylee Cole Gunter and Sophia Gunter; sisters, Doris (Roger) Perry, Joyce Roller, Phyllis Smith and Diane (Wilburn) Roach all of McMinnville; and brothers, Eugene Rutledge of Chattanooga, TN and Russell (Yvonna) Rutledge of McMinnville. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 13, 2016 in High's Chapel with Ernest Cantrell to officiate. Interment will follow in Wilson Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday until time of service at High's. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family to assist with funeral expenses.
