McMinnville, TN resident and Christian County, KY native Jerry Lynn Butler, age 71, was born March 7, 1944 and died February 22, 2016 at his residence following an extended illness. A retired police chief with Las Animas, CO, he was the son of the late Woodrow Wilson and Helen Long Butler. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brother, Fred Butler. He was married June 7, 1962 to Joyce Covington Butler of McMinnville. In addition to his wife, he is survived by four children and their spouses, Timothy and Tawny Butler of McMinnville, Tammara and John Townsend of Grandin, MO, Tanya and Danny Hon of Pueblo, CO and Thomas and Erica Butler of Sigurd, UT; eleven grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law, Ed and Sandy Mudd of Florida; sister and brother-in-law, Karen and Charlie Etheridge of McMinnville; and several nieces and nephews also survive.
