Carl Lynn Weddington

Carl Lynn Weddington, age 50, was born September 13, 1965 in Warren County, TN and died February 27, 2016 at his residence following a sudden illness. A factory worker with Smithport Cabinetry, he was the son of the late Carl Gene and Arlene Scott Weddington. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Henry and Lillie Mae "Ma" Scott; and paternal grandparents, Robert "Rob" and Pauline Weddington. He is survived by son of his life, Jacob Lynn Weddington. Jacob lived with his daddy and was his daddy's pride and joy. Mr. Weddington is also survived by aunt, Etta Scott Stafford (Lynn's second mama); sister and brother-in-law, Paulette and Danny Nichols; two Godsisters, Sherry Steakley and Pattie Sue Jacobs and husband Jamie; niece, Leah Gibbs and husband Josh; two nephews, Kody McBride and Marc Tittsworth; great-nephew, Braxton Ryder Gibbs; great-niece, Kennedy Grace Gibbs; aunt, Tenia Northcutt; former wife, Julie Weddington; and other special family members and friends also survive. Mr. Weddington and his son were both baptized together on Thursday, February 25, 2016 at Hwy. 56 North Church of Christ. Funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Monday, February 29, 2016 in High's Chapel with Andrew Coppinger officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Zion Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. Sunday and from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service Monday at High's.
