Teresa “Teri” Elaine Hendrix, age 37, of Murfreesboro, TN, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, March 2, 2016. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Willie H. and Bea Mathis; grandfather, J.J. Hendrix; and uncle, Dr. W.H. “Bill” Mathis. Funeral services will be Saturday, March 5, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Teb Batey and Tony Holt will officiate. A graveside service will be at 1:30 p.m. in Ivy Bluff Cemetery in Warren County, TN. Family will serve as pallbearers. Teresa is survived by her mother, Theresa Gail Mathis Hendrix of Murfreesboro, TN; father, Joseph Ronald “Ron” Hendrix and his wife Rhonda of Greenville, TN; brother, Christopher Michael Hendrix and his wife Kayce of Spring Hill, TN; grandmother, Frankie Hendrix of McMinnville, TN; aunts, JoAnn Mathis Ramsey of Jasper, TN, Marilyn Emery of McMinnville, TN and Kathy Mathis of Lascassas, TN; and nephews, Cole, Brady, and Tucker Hendrix of Spring Hill, TN. Teresa was a member of North Boulevard Church of Christ. She was very inspirational in life and was a volunteer with Inner City Ministry and with North Boulevard Church Children’s Ministry. She always wore a smile on her face and was the happiest when helping others. She was an angel and a messenger of God. Teresa was the March of Dimes poster child for three years in a row. She was an avid sports fan, and especially loved Peyton Manning, Tennessee Titans Football, and the Atlanta Braves, and she also loved to sing. Teresa loved her family very much, especially her nephews who she was so proud of. Memorials in memory of Teresa can be made to 20/20 Vision at North Boulevard Church of Christ, or to the Ivy Bluff Cemetery at 101 Wade Road, Woodbury, TN 37190. Visitation will be Friday, March 4, 2016 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Saturday one hour prior to the service all at Woodfin Memorial Chapel.
