McMinnville, TN resident and Van Buren County, TN native Willis Edwin Martin, age 72, was born May 1, 1943 and died March 29, 2016 at his residence following a two-year illness. A retired contractor and member of Bonner Church of Christ, he was the son of the late Clarence Wesley and Ruby Boyd Martin. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sister, Barbara King. He was married March 3, 1972 to Hilda Nunley Martin of McMinnville. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Paul Willis and Kim Martin of McMinnville and Stephen Shawn and Teressa Martin of McMinnville; six grandchildren, Noah, Drake, Elijah, Mary Grace, Sabella and Caitlynne Martin; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Nina and James Johnson of the Rocky River Community, Joene and Carl Mix of Spencer, TN and Sharon and Sam Carter of Woodbury, TN; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Kelly and Janila Martin of Cleveland, TN and Ronnie and Carol Martin of the Rocky River Community; two brothers-in-law, Paul Nunley and wife Fay of Rock Island, TN and David Nunley and wife Georgia of Beersheba, TN; and several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, April 1, 2016 in High's Chapel with Tim Long officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory Cemetery. Visitation will be 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Thursday and from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service Friday at High's.
