Carolyn Sue Dodson Bostick

Carolyn Sue Dodson Bostick, 78---Beloved wife, mother and grandmother passed peacefully from this life in the early hours of April 8, 2016 at NHC after a brief illness. A McMinnville resident, she was born in Monterey, TN on January 5, 1938 to the late Roe Sherman Dodson and Ella Mae Breedlove Dodson Jones. Mrs. Bostick was married January 8, 1959 to Charles K. Bostick who preceded her in death on August 23, 2014. Besides her parents, she was also preceded in death by half-sister, Dorothy Marie Dodson Lee and step-father, Tolbert Homer Jones. Mrs. Bostick, who had enjoyed quilting, reading, gardening and spending time with her family, will be greatly missed. She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Kym and Rickey Jones of McMinnville and Suzanne and Ronnie Caldwell of Estill Springs; one grandson and granddaughter-in-law, Eric Lynn and Francisca Ramirez Jones of Conway, AR; one granddaughter, Stephanie Elizabeth Jones of McMinnville; half-brother and sister-in-law, Douglass H. and Carolyn Keener of Wichita, KS; and brother and sister-in-law, James Roe and Tanya Dodson of Walter Hill, TN. She is also survived by nieces and nephews, Carol Hamblen and family, Ronnie Lee and family, Jennifer Densteadt and family, and Jason and Melanie Dodson and family and dear family friend, Tim Prater. The family will receive visitors from 4:00 in the afternoon Thursday, April 14, 2016 until time of memorial service at 7:00 p.m. in the auditorium of Christ United Methodist Church located at 200 Chapel Drive, where Mrs. Bostick was a member since 1964 and also served as secretary for thirteen of those years. Chuck Overton, chaplain for Caris Hospice will officiate. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Meals on Wheels.
