Oneida Donaldson Neely

Morristown, TN resident and White County, TN native Oneida Donaldson Neely, age 87, was born September 10, 1928 and died April 29, 2016 at Lakeway Regional Hospital in Morristown, TN following an extended illness. A homemaker, a member of New Union Baptist Church, and grew up and graduated high school in McMinnville, she was the daughter of the late Alonzo and Oma Matheny Donaldson. She was married to Nelson Neely who preceded her in death on January 21, 1989. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Vergie and James Donaldson; and two sisters, Verna Irwin and Vera Hillis. She is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Jay Soles of Morristown, TN; son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Marie Neely of Lebanon, TN; two granddaughters and spouses, Paige and Tony Lehtola of Parker, CO and Angie and Ricky Dickerson of Lebanon, TN; three grandsons, Douglas Neely of McMinnville, Richard Neely and wife Kellie of Old Hickory, TN and Chris Neely of Lebanon, TN; and one great-granddaughter and three great-grandsons. A graveside service and interment will be held Tuesday, May 3, 2016 in Mt. View Cemetery with family to officiate. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Monday and from 9:00 a.m. until 9:45 am Tuesday at High's.
