Carolyn Sue Sharp Brown

Carolyn Sue Sharp Brown, age 68, a Smithville, TN resident and Harlan, KY native died May 9, 2016 at her residence due to complications from Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma. She was a Nurse Anesthetist at Baptist DeKalb Hospital, member of Earlyville Church of Christ and daughter of the late Arthur Waterman and Nancy Claire Dollins Shields. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brother, John Shields. Mrs. Brown was married to Lawton Brown who survives. In addition to her husband, she is survived by three children, Bud Sharp and Susan (Michael Jr.) Bell both of McMinnville, TN and Cindy (Chuck) Hill of Smithville; four grandchildren, Kara Campbell, Allison Campbell, Hannah Hill and Harlan Hill; one great-grandchild, Elizabeth Bell; brother, Jim (Brenda) Shields of Smithville; and sister, Debbie (Bill) Jennings of McMinnville. Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, May 12, 2016 in High's Chapel with Chris Perry to officiate. Interment will follow in Mt. View Cemetery. Visitation will be 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 11, 2016 and 10:00 a.m. Thursday until time of service at High's. Donations may be made to Memorial Hope Foundation Lodge in Nashville, TN.
