Ora Frances Rains

Ora Frances Rains, age 86, a Woodbury, TN resident and Cannon County, TN native died May 26, 2016 in Centennial Medical Center following an extended illness. She was a retired self-employed beautician, member of the Church of Christ and daughter of the late Robert France and Georgia Lee Melton Higgins. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Ernest, Murf and Shirley Higgins. Survivors include son, Joel Rains of Woodbury; four grandchildren, Gregory Lynn Rains of the Centertown Community, Jody Bray of Beersheba Springs, TN, Tyla Nicole Wanamaker and Brandon Seth Rains both of McMinnville, TN; seven great-grandchildren, Peyton Wanamaker, Alexis Wanamaker, Tayden Rains, Haliey Parker, Alexandria Parker, Ty Bray and Madison Bray; and three sisters, Brenda Tate, Linda Moore and Jackie Higgins all of Woodbury. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Sunday, May 29, 2016 in High's Chapel with Brian Reed to officiate. Interment will follow in Ivy Bluff Cemetery. Visitation will be 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Saturday, May 28, 2016 and 10:00 a.m. Sunday until time of service at High's.
