Mary Helen Barrett

Mary Helen Barrett, age 62, a McMinnville, TN resident and Warren County, TN native died May 27, 2016 in St. Thomas West Hospital following an extended illness. She was a homemaker, member of the Church of Christ and daughter of the late Vernon L. and Lassie Marilda Taylor Pickett. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by sister, Emalene Keener and brother, Edward Lee Pickett. Mrs. Barrett was married November 20, 1977 to Hugh Edward Barrett who survives. In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons, Billy Joe Bruce of Murfreesboro, TN and Jamie Wayne Bruce of McMinnville; three grandchildren; one great-grandchild; four sisters, Sadie Sullivan of Manchester, TN, Earlene Keener, Erma (Dan) Fitch and Linda (Trent) Anderson all of McMinnville; and three brothers, Herbert Eugene (Louise) Pickett and James Franklin Pickett both of the Hills Creek Community and Melvin Floyd Pickett of the Green Hills Community. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral service will be 12:00 p.m. Monday, May 30, 2016 in High's Chapel with Ronnie Powell to officiate. Interment will follow in Center Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Sunday, May 29, 2016 and 9:00 a.m. Monday until time of service at High's.
