Sue Knight

Sue Knight, age 76, a McMinnville, TN resident and Morgan County, TN native died June 6, 2016 at her residence following an extended illness. She was a homemaker, member of McMinnville Congregational Methodist Church and daughter of the late Oscar Thomas and Pearl Christine Moffitt Phipps. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by sisters, Joann Kennedy and Joyce Brainard. Mrs. Knight was married April 15, 1961 to Avery Lee Knight who survives. In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Kenny and Tami Knight and Timmy and Sherry Knight all of McMinnville; grandchildren, Matthew Knight and wife Kelli, Heather Knight and boyfriend Cody Knowles, Nick Dutra and Brayden Knight; great-grandchildren, Rylan DeLong and Elizabeth Knowles; and sisters and brothers-in-law, Freddie Goad of Huntsville, TN, Jennie and Huel Simmons and Jenell and John Cherry all of Smyrna, TN. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, June 9, 2016 in High's Chapel with Bro. Bill Eversole and Bro. Ralph Shrum to officiate. Interment will follow in Mt. View Cemetery. Visitation will be 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 8, 2016 and 9:00 a.m. Thursday until time of service at High's.
