Robert Lee Kent

We celebrate the life, yet mourn the passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather, and brother, Robert "Bob" Lee Kent, born June 12, 1944 in Rockville, IN, son of the late Horace Kent, Jr. & Mary Elkins Kent. Bob married his wife, Rita "Sue" Allen on March 8, 1962 with whom he recently celebrated their 54th wedding anniversary! Bob served proudly in the U.S. Army, was a dedicated employee of Inland Steel for 30 years, and was well-known by many in the local community as the man who would do anything for a friend. For his family, Bob naturally accepted the roles of caretaker, provider, handyman, builder, mechanic, little league coach, general enthusiast and supporter! He was and always will be the central spirit of the family. Bob’s loving family includes wife, Sue Allen Kent; sons, Robert "Bobby" Lee Kent, Jr. (deceased), Douglas Kent & Craig Edwards; daughter, Corinna Kent Jewell; granddaughter, Rebecca Jewell; brothers & sisters-in-law, Kenneth "Kenny" & Karen Kent, Delbert (deceased) & Sandy Marlar; sister-in-law, Sandra Allen Bieker; and many other family, friends and church members of Mt. Elim Baptist Church in Spencer, TN. By his request, no formal services will be held. Gone but forever in our minds and our hearts!
