Agnes Lee Clendeon Evans

McMinnville, TN resident and Warren County, TN native Agnes Lee Clendenon Evans, age 85, was born June 16, 1930 and died June 9, 2016 at St. Thomas West Hospital in Nashville, TN following a sudden illness. Retired from Genesco and a member of St. Mary's Church of Christ, she was the daughter of the late Edward Jackson and Willie Mae Panter Clendenon. She was married to Joe Evans who preceded her in death. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by sister, Wilma Lois Clendenon; and brother and sister-in-law, Thomas and Barbara Clendenon. She is survived by son, Gerald Edward Curtis of McMinnville; sister and brother-in-law, Gerry and Sam Martin of McMinnville; special niece and husband, Kay and Tommy Foster of McMinnville; nephews, Ray and Clay Martin of McMinnville and Eddie and Ricky Clendenon of McMinnville; several great-nieces and great-nephews; and special friends, Bernice Groves and Arthur Gunning both of McMinnville. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, June 12, 2016 in High's Chapel with Greg Rains officiating. Burial will follow in Shiloh Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Saturday and from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service Sunday at High's.
