DAVIDSON COUNTY, TN WOMACK, Joe Floyd - Age 81 of Nashville, TN. June 10, 2016. Joe retired after 40 years of service at "The Tennessean." Preceded in death by wife, Patricia "Pat" Womack; son, Jeffrey Womack; grandson, Jeffrey Tyson Womack and brother, Harold Womack. Mr. Womack was the son of the late Floyd Bryan and Mattie Elrod Womack. Survived by sons, Greg (Jackie) Womack, Eric Womack, Thomas (Natalie) Womack; grandchildren, Sarah, Adam, Jeremy, Bethany, Caitlin and Lara Womack; 9 great-grandchildren; sister, Melba Hillis; and brothers, Tom, Glynn and Lynn Womack. Mr. Womack was a faithful member of Vultee Church of Christ in Nashville, TN. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, June 14, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at Woodbine Funeral Home, Hickory Chapel, 5852 Nolensville Road. Interment Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
