McMinnville, TN resident and Warren County, TN native William Spencer "Bill" Lively, Jr., age 94, was born March 17, 1922 and died June 20, 2016 at his residence following an extended illness. Mr. Lively was born inside the Southern School of Photography in McMinnville. He was a pharmacist at Lively-Ferguson Drug Store and was a pharmacist until age 86. He as an Alderman for the City of McMinnville for 16 years, an Elder at First Presbyterian Church, a past Rotary Club member, and a former member of the McMinnville Volunteer Fire Department. A United States Navy veteran of WWII, he was the son of the late William Spencer "Dad" and Ethel Cook Lively. He was married February 27, 1943 to Betty Yager Lively who preceded him in death. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by grandson, William Spencer Lively, IV; and brother-in-law, Edward N. Yager, III. He is survived by son, William Spencer "Buddy" Lively, III of McMinnville; two sisters-in-law, Jane Yager Ingle of McMinnville and Mary Yager of Nashville, TN; niece, Sally Turner of McMinnville; nephew, Edward N. Yager, IV of Nashville, TN; and several great and great-great nieces and nephews also survive. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, June 24, 2016 at the First Presbyterian Church with Harry Green and Dr. John Todd officiating. Inurnment will follow in Riverside Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. until the time of service Friday at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Spencer Lively Memorial Scholarship Fund c/o Warren County High School or the First Presbyterian Church.
