McMinnville resident and Hamilton County, TN native Gary Keith Templeton, age 66, was born August 13, 1949 and died June 26, 2016 at his residence following a one-year illness. A retired technician with Bridgestone and member of Campaign Church of God, he was the son of the late James Wilson Templeton and Jacqueline Montandon Templeton Cope. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Jimmy Templeton and Donnie Templeton and step-father, Henry Cope. Mr. Templeton was married July 1, 1977 to Judy Woods Templeton. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two children and their spouses, April Marie and Brent Tubb of Morrison, TN and John and Bethany Templeton of Rainbow City, AL; eight grandchildren, Dylan Tubb, Noah Yates, Parker Yates, Carter Templeton, Aaron Templeton, Christopher Tubb, Anna Templeton and Drew Templeton; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Teresa and William Black and Darlene and Bob Young both of McMinnville; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Kathy and Ronnie Emberton of McMinnville; two brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Brian and Kaye Woods of McMinnville and Carrol and "Cooki" Woods of Irving, TX; several nieces and nephews and special friends, Jerry and Betty Stoik of McMinnville. Funeral service will be held at 4:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 29, 2016 in High's Chapel with Jeff Kesley and Jerry Stoik officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. View Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Tuesday and 12:00 p.m. until time of service Wednesday at High's.
