James Mark Scott

McMinnville, TN resident and Warren County, TN native James Mark Scott, age 54, was born April 6, 1962 and died July 17, 2016 at his residence following a sudden illness. A former employee of Kidd Ford and a member of the Church of Christ at East End, he was the son of the late James Houston "Buddy" Scott and Ruby Irene Hollis. In addition to his father and mother, he was preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Marcum Vestol and Salley K. Scott; and maternal grandparents, Ellis and Mamie Hollis; and uncle, Sam Scott. He is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Tristan and Anastasia Brock of McMinnville; two grandchildren, Christopher and Blaine; brother, Houston Lee Scott of McMinnville; and several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. A graveside service and interment will be held Friday, July 22, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. in Mt. View Cemetery with Jackie Matheny officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday at High's. Family and friends are to meet 10:00 a.m. Friday at the cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to American Cancer Society.
