Centertown Community resident and Warren County, TN native Gerald William Wiseman, age 82, was born July 20, 1934 and died July 25, 2016 at NHC Healthcare in McMinnville following an extended illness. A retired employee of Powermatic and a member of the Church of Christ at Mt. Leo where he served as an Elder for over 30 years, he was the son of the late Martin Tipton and Mary Edna Maxwell Wiseman. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four sisters, Mary Helen Wiseman, Wilma Pepper, Kathleen Killian and Joetta Pepper; and four brothers, Jewel, Hugh, Waymon and twin, Earl Wiseman. He was married August 14, 1959 to Eva Lois Barnes Wiseman of the Centertown Community. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Geraline and Kurt Powers of the Rocky River Community and Sharon and Randy Boothe of Murfreesboro, TN; three grandchildren and spouses, David and Lauren Powers of McMinnville, Leah and Jared Baker of Spencer, TN and Blair Boothe of Columbia, TN; great-granddaughter, Luna Claire Baker of Spencer, TN; sister, Irene Wilson of McMinnville; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Kenneth and Mary Barnes of Manchester, TN; and several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, July 28, 2016 in High's Chapel with Trent Key and Kent Killian officiating. Burial will follow in Centertown Cemetery. Visitation will be 1:00 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. Wednesday and from 8:00 a.m. until the time of service Thursday at High's.
