James Richard Stevens

Rock Island, TN resident and Belgrade, ME native James Richard Stevens, age 69, was born December 17, 1946 and died August 4, 2016 at his residence following an extended illness. A retired heavy equipment operator and truck driver with Rock Island Express, a United States Navy veteran of Vietnam, and a member of the Baptist church, he was the son of the late Louis Kidder and Charlotte Rose Tracy Stevens. He was married November 1, 2010 to Lorraine Damron Stevens of Rock Island, TN. In addition to his wife, he is survived by five children, Scott, Dean and Michelle Stevens all of Maine, Jason Lundgren of Rock Island, TN and Eric Lundgren of Colorado; granddaughter, Ashley Mullican of McMinnville; two great-grandchildren, Ayden and Christopher; mother-in-law, Donna Bruce of Rock Island, TN; two brothers-in-law, Daryl Damron and Stephen Damron both of Rock Island, TN; two sisters-in-law, Angela Spencer and Debra Mills both of McMinnville; and several nieces and nephews also survive. Per Mr. Stevens' request, he will be cremated and the family will hold a private service.
