Nancy Dillon Stubblefield of Viola was born on November 20, 1937 and died on August 17, 2016. She was a member of McMinnville First United Methodist Church where she had been a Sunday school teacher and served on several church committees. She graduated from U.T. Knoxville and taught at Central High School, City High School and Warren County High School. She developed and implemented the Family Life and Child Care programs for the school system. The last eight years of her career she was the Director of Technology for the Warren County School System. She was preceded in death by her parents, Hubert Allen Dillon and Marguerite Crick Dillon; half-brother, Frank Reynolds; sister-in-law, Frances Stubblefield; brother-in-law Smartt Ramsey. She is survived by her husband, Billy Stubblefield of 58 years and her sister, Kay Ramsey of McMinnville; daughter and son-in-law, Mary Dillon Koelbl and Steve Koelbl of McMinnville; son, William David Stubblefield and Beth Garner of Viola; grandchildren, Jay W. Koelbl and fiance’ Janey Carmen of Texas, Jennifer Koelbl McAward and husband Shawn of Knoxville, Mary Ann Tarrant and husband Phillip and Nancy Elizabeth Stubblefield of Augusta, Georgia; great-granddaughter, Sarah Ann Tarrant and several nieces and nephews. A celebration of life will be held at the First United Methodist Outreach Building on Saturday, August 20, 2016 at 1:00 p.m with Tommy Vann to officiate. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the First United Methodist Church Good Neighbor program or the Magness Memorial Library of McMinnville which encompasses her loves of church, cooking, and reading.
