Erma Barr

Erma Barr, age 80, a Mt. Juliet, TN resident and DeKalb County, TN native died August 23, 2016 in Carrick Glen Assisted Living Center following a brief illness. She was a retired sales person with D & M Distributing, member of Silver Springs Baptist Church and daughter of the late Roe and Bertha Hutchings Barr. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband, Manny Haynes and siblings, Marie Vinson, Solon Barr, Leo Barr and Will Monroe Barr. Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, David and Sheri Vick of Lebanon, TN; daughter and son-in-law, Donna and Steven Barker of Mt. Juliet; five grandchildren, Aaron Vick, Lydia Vick and Sarah Vick, Joshua Barker and wife Keeshia, and Taylor Mesa and husband Alex; great-grandson, Leto Barker; five siblings and spouses, Geneva Carroll of Houston, TX, Roena and Lonnie Fuson of Morrison, TN, Gene and Pat Barr of Manchester, TN, Earl and Hazel Barr and Chris and Lynn Bouldin all of McMinnville, TN; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, August 29, 2016 in High's Chapel with Earl Barr and Gene Barr to officiate. Interment will follow in Bascom Cemetery. Visitation will be 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Sunday, August 28, 2016 and 9:00 a.m. Monday until time of service at High's.
