Edward Lee Priest

McMinnville, TN resident and Warren County, TN native Edward Lee Priest, age 88, was born November 1, 1927 and died September 16, 2016 at his residence following a brief illness. A self-employed logger and a member of the Baptist Church, he was the son of the late William Marion and Leta Crim Priest. He was married to Phyllis Ann Sullivan Priest who preceded him in death. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters. He is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Jimmy and Gail Priest of McMinnville and Ronny and Debbie Priest of McMinnville; four step-children and spouses, Tim and Carla Taylor of McMinnville, Stacey and Darrel Bailey of McMinnville, Cary and Ethel Taylor of Dayton, TN and Debbie Taylor of Dayton, TN; eleven grandchildren and spouses, Jill and Brad Leech, Jamie and Lee Adams, Karyn and Jon Simmons, Joey and Denise Layne, Cole and Hailey Taylor, Ashley and Austin Alexander, Tiffany and Clint Garrett, C.W. Taylor, Bradley Taylor, Deborah Taylor and Gracie Taylor; several great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews also survive. A graveside service and interment will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 20, 2016 in New Union Cemetery, Hwy. 30 with Jon Simmons officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Monday at High's. There will be no visitation Tuesday. Family and friends are to meet at the cemetery for the service on Tuesday.
