Dorothy Christine Hennessee

Dorothy Christine Hennessee, age 85, a McMinnville, TN resident and Warren County, TN native died September 18, 2016 in St. Thomas Rutherford Hospital following an extended illness. She was a homemaker, member of Bybee Branch Church of Christ and daughter of the late George and Mary Arnold Smith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Elsie Hale, Georgie Hale and Nelle Smith Short; and two nephews, Clyde Hale, Jr. and Billy Hale. Survivors include husband, Winfrey Hennessee of McMinnville; daughter and son-in-law, Teresa and Dennis Gann of McMinnville; two grandsons, Lynn and Lee Gann both of McMinnville; niece and husband, Joyce and Roger Gunter of McMinnville; and several great-nieces and great-nephews. A graveside service and interment will be held at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, September 21, 2016 in Gardens of Memory Cemetery with Tony Lawrence to officiate. Visitation will be 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at High’s. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to assist the family with funeral expenses.
