Bobby Ballew

Bobby Ballew, age 67, a Rock Island, TN resident and White County, TN native died September 27, 2016 at his residence following an extended illness. He was a self-employed mechanic, member of the Church of Christ and son of the late Joe Washington and Anna Lou Simmons Ballew. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by infant son, Daniel Ballew and brothers, Harold, Frank and Jack Ballew. Mr. Ballew was married October 4, 1968 to Deborah Adams Ballew who survives. In addition to his wife, he is survived by sons and daughters-in-law, Bobby Kevin and Melissa Ballew of Spencer, TN and Matthew Steven and Tammy Ballew of Rock Island; three grandchildren, Tasha Nolt and husband Ben, Kendra Simmons and husband Coty and Shane Ballew all of Spencer; two great-grandchildren, Braxton Nolt and Ayden Martin; four brothers and sister-in-law, Jay and Margie Ballew of Doyle, TN, Earl Ballew of Sparta, TN, Lee Ballew and Rufus Ballew both of Rock Island; three sisters, Doris McPeak of McMinnville, TN, Christine Horton and Lillian Tollison both of Doyle; good friend and brother-in-law, Bill Adams of Spencer; best friends, Terry and Donna Caldwell of Rock Island; and special niece, Rhonda Mason of McMinnville. A graveside service and interment will be held at 12:00 p.m. Friday, September 30, 2016 in Shiloh Cemetery at Mud Creek with Mike Steakley and Jason Gann to officiate. Visitation will be 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Thursday and 9:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Friday at High's.
