George Crim, age 84, a McMinnville, TN resident and Warren County, TN native died October 2, 2016 in Raintree Manor following an extended illness. He was a veteran of the United States Army during the Korean War, retired employee with Magnetek, member of Arlington Church of Christ and son of the late Charlie Crim and Bobbie Barrett Crim of McMinnville. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sister and brother-in-law, Nellie and Charlie Romans of Niles, MI; brother, Charles Edward Crim of McMinnville; infant brother, Fate Crim; and brothers-in-law, Horace Simpson and Willie Young of Nashville. Mr. Crim is survived by his wife of 56 years, Nancy Louise Wanamaker Crim of McMinnville; daughter and son-in-law, Melissa and Mark Horner of Montross, VA; sons, William George (Buddy) Crim of Woodbury, TN and John (Jon-Jon) Crim of McMinnville; six grandchildren and grandson-in-law, Terrence Crim, Cole Crim and Quinn Crim all of McMinnville, John Thomas Crim of Knoxville, TN, Ivy Crim of Murfreesboro, TN and April and John Smith of Biloxi, MS; two great-grandsons; sisters, Maurine Simpson and Lucille Young both of Nashville, TN; sister-in-law, Maggie Hughes of McMinnville; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 4, 2016 in High's Chapel with Wayne Cantrell to officiate. Interment will follow in Mt. View Cemetery with military grave rites to be conducted by VFW Post 5064 and American Legion Post 173. Visitation will be 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Monday and 12:00 p.m. Tuesday until time of service at High's. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to F.C.
