McMinnville resident and Warren County native, Elizabeth Jane Yager Ingle, passed away at her home Sunday, October 2, 2016, at the age of 95. Born July 21, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Edward N. and Frankie Hobson Yager. On September 1, 1940, she married A.J. (Jack) Ingle, Jr. who preceded her in death May 6, 1993. She was also preceded in death by sister and brother-in-law, Betty and W.S. (Bill) Lively, Jr.; brother and sister-in-law, Edward and Jo Yager; niece, Betty Yager York; and great-nephew, Spencer Lively. Mrs. Ingle attended City Grammer School and graduated as salutatorian from Central High School in 1939, which was the first class to graduate on a lighted football field. After attending business school, she worked as a secretary and book-keeper until she retired from Warren County Schools. She was the first president of the Ben Lomand Garden Club. An avid bridge player, she also enjoyed golf, needlepoint and knitting. Jane was a life long member of the First Presbyterian Church. Survivors include her daughter, Sally Turner of McMinnville; sister, Mary Yager of Nashville; grandchildren, Sam Turner, Jr. and Jennifer Patton; great-grandchildren, Zackary Patton, Terian Roller and husband Jacob and Mary-Ella Lee; and nephews, W.S. (Buddy) Lively of McMinnville, Ed and Cheryl Yager of Nashville and Christopher York and wife Kristi. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church Friday, October 7, 2016. A memorial service will follow with Harry Green to officiate. Inurnment will follow in Mt. View Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Meals on Wheels or First Presbyterian Church.
