James Ricky Kirby

McMinnville, TN resident and Jacksonville, FL native James Ricky Kirby, age 60, was born May 24, 1956 and died October 10, 2016 at his residence following a lingering illness. A nurseryman, he was the son of the late Arvin Boyd and June Davis Kirby. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sister, Patty Sue Mathney; and three brothers, Freddy Kirby, Donnie Kirby and Bearle Thomas Kirby. He is survived by three daughters and son-in-law, Feliacia and Joel Blanton of McMinnville, Jamie Michelle Jones and Jon Keel of McMinnville, and Jennifer Helton of Christiana, TN; three brothers, Bill Kirby of Texas, and Joe Kirby and Roy Kirby both of McMinnville; nine grandchildren, Shelby Murphy and husband Adam, Elania Coldwell, Ethan Blanton, James Matthew Kirby and Morgan Keel all of McMinnville, Samantha Blanton of Spencer, TN, Danyelle Allbright of Manchester, TN, Shade Allbright of Shelbyville, TN, and Randi Sheppard of Florida; great-grandchild, Lukas Murphy of McMinnville; and mother of children, Pam Kirby of McMinnville. Visitation will be Thursday, October 13, 2016 from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at High's. Immediate burial will follow in Preston Heights Cemetery, Quebeck, TN. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the family for funeral expenses.
