Effie Lee Bryant, age 101, went home to be with her Lord at 10:30 p.m. Tuesday, October 25, 2016. Ms. Bryant was a retired secretary with Genesco, former member of Business Professional Women's Club, Baptist WMU, Sunday School teacher and member of First Baptist Church. She was born August 30, 1915 in White County, TN to the late Frank and Luella Banks Bryant. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brother, Quim Bryant; sister-in-law, Irene Bryant; and baby sister, Anna Marie. Survivors include her niece, Susan Bryant Cantrell; great-nieces, Anna Frazier and husband Rick, Marie Crowley and husband Jeff and Leah Cathey and husband Derrick; great-great-nieces and nephews, Garrison and Lily-Kate Crowley and Kaitlyn and Dylan Cathey; half-brothers and sisters, J.T. Bryant and wife Betty, Perry Bryant and wife Bernice, Francis Vian and husband Richard, Vivian Bryant, Willie Bryant and Marge Trigg and husband Gaylan. Her family would like to thank NHC McMinnville nurses and staff for the excellent and loving care given to her in the last months of her life. We also want to thank Hospice for the comfort and care given to her at the ending of her life. Graveside service and interment will be held at 3:00 p.m. Friday, October 28, 2016 in Mt. View Cemetery with family members and Earl Barr to officiate. Visitation will be 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. Friday at High's. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to McMinnville First Baptist Church. The family has also requested you go visit someone in a nursing home.
