William McKinley “Bill” Askew, Jr., age 77, a McMinnville, TN resident and Manchester, TN native died November 8, 2016 in Erlanger Medical Center following a sudden illness. A veteran of the United States Army, owner of Baga Printing Company and member of Stones River Car Club and First Baptist Church, he was the son of the late William McKinley Askew, Sr. and Deamie Tanner Askew. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brother, Bobby Askew. He is survived by wife, Patsy Askew; step-daughter and step-son-in-law, Pam and Dennis Curtis of Ashland City, TN; step-grandson, Davis Cantrell and fiancée Courtney Jowers of Elizabethton, TN; several cousins and extended family and friends. Graveside service and interment will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, November 13, 2016 in Gardens of Memory Cemetery with Bill Hall to officiate. Military grave rites will be conducted by VFW Post 5064 and American Legion Post 173. Visitation will be 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Saturday and 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. Sunday at High’s.
