Kimes Lee Wilson, age 82, a Morrison, TN resident and Overton County, TN native was born July 29, 1934 and died December 5, 2016 in NHC Healthcare of McMinnville following an extended illness. He was a veteran of the United States Army, United States Air Force and Tennessee Army National Guard during the Korean and Vietnam Wars, retired correction officer for the State of Tennessee, TVA employee at Watts Bar Dam, member of the Church of Christ and son of the late Russell Thomas and Daisy Myrtle England Wilson. Mr. Wilson was married July 2, 1981 to Barbara Ann St. John Wilson who preceded him in death on May 29, 2015. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Elbert F. and Eulas G. Wilson. Survivors include daughter, Helen McPherson of Villarica, GA; son, Alan Wilson of Livingston, KY; and sister, Mary Frances Wilson of Rickman, TN. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, December 8, 2016 in High's Chapel with Ray Weddington and Bill Boyd to officiate. Interment will follow in Gardens of Memory Cemetery with military grave rites conducted by VFW Post 5064 and American Legion Post 173. Visitation will be 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Wednesday and 10:00 a.m. Thursday until the time of service at High's.
