Margie Sadler

McMinnville, TN resident and Jackson County, TN native Margie Sadler, age 88, was born February 29, 1928 and died January 4, 2017 at her residence following an extended illness. A retired waitress at Stewart's Pharmacy for 30 years and a member of Arlington Church of Christ, she was the daughter of the late Benton and Tenny Sutton Shoemake. She was married on August 2, 1946 to D.C. Sadler who preceded her in death on December 19, 2003. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by brother, Milburn Shoemake; and three sisters, Aline Whitaker, Jewel Brown and Jo Ann Proffitt. She is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Pat and Carl Simmons of McMinnville; two grandsons, Jason Simmons of McMinnville and Jon Simmons and wife Karyn of McMinnville; four great-granddaughters, Kamron Looper and husband Justin, Allie Simmons, and Sadie Simmons all of McMinnville, and Katie Hipple and husband Jeremiah of Lynnhaven, FL; two great-grandsons, Sadler and Syler Simmons both of McMinnville; two great-great-granddaughters, Lily and Kynlee Looper; and several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 6, 2017 in High's Chapel with Jon Simmons officiating. Burial will follow in Faulkner Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service Friday at High's.
