Fred B. Watson, Jr., age 67, a McMinnville, TN resident and Warren County, TN native was born November 26, 1949 and died February 23, 2017 at his residence following a brief illness. He was a retired employee of Shiroki Wicks, United States Army veteran of Vietnam, member of the Church of Christ and son of the late Fred B. Watson, Sr. and Sally Ruth Gillentine Watson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sister, Carolyn Minton. Mr. Watson was married December 29, 1970 to Martha Raye Crouch Watson who survives. In addition to his wife, he is survived by sons, Fred B. Watson III and David A. Watson and Kaylan all of McMinnville; daughter, Tonia Copley and Carlos of McMinnville; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; brother, Carl A. Watson of McMinnville; sister, Patricia M. Watson of Honolulu, Hawaii; and nephews and niece, Michael Watson, Brian Watson and April Watson. Graveside service and interment will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, February 25, 2017 in Gardens of Memory Cemetery with Wayne Cantrell to officiate. Military grave rites will be conducted by VFW Post 5064 and American Legion Post 173. Family and friends are to meet at the cemetery. There will be no visitation or service at High's.
