Johnny Houston Carter

Johnny Houston Carter, age 64, a Tullahoma, TN resident and Warren County, TN native was born August 1, 1953 and died August 27, 2017 in Harton Regional Medical Center following an extended illness. He was a veteran of the United States Army, retired employee of B.F. Goodrich, member of the Church of Christ and son of Sarah Baker of Tullahoma and the late John B. Carter. In addition to his mother, he is survived by daughter, Heather Dawn Goad of Tullahoma; two grandchildren, Ashlyn Goad and Skylar Adams both of Tullahoma; step-father, Wallace Baker of Tullahoma; sister and brother-in-law, Desiree and Kenneth Bell of Tullahoma; brother, Michael Baker of Murfreesboro, TN; three nephews, Brandon Baker of Murfreesboro, Alex Bell of Gleason, TN and C.J. Bell of Ft. Campbell, KY; great-nephew, Haden Bell; and several cousins. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 30, 2017 in High’s Chapel with Kevin Key to officiate. Interment will follow in Corinth Cemetery with military grave rites conducted by American Legion Post 173 and VFW Post 5064. Visitation will be 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday and 10:00 a.m. Wednesday until the time of service at High’s.
