Charles Ross Stevens, age 57, a McMinnville, TN resident and Warren County, TN native was born January 5, 1960 and died October 5, 2017 in Alvin C. York V.A. Medical Center following a sudden illness. A truck driver with Hillis Trucking and a veteran of the United States Marine Corps and Tennessee Army National Guard, he was the son of Mary Winningham of McMinnville and the late Whaler Stevens. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by sister, Renee Roark. In addition to his mother, he is survived by three children, Nathan Stevens and wife Angel, Justin Stevens and Amanda Stevens all of McMinnville; two grandchildren, Brooklyn Stevens and Rhylee Stevens; sister, Phyllis Stevens of McMinnville; brothers, Phillip Stevens, Robert Stevens, Terry Neal and Johnny Neal all of McMinnville; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, October, 7, 2017 in High’s Chapel with Danny Young officiating. Interment will follow in Armstrong Cemetery with military grave rites conducted by Marine Corps League Bobby Ray Det. 1377. Visitation will be 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Friday and 9:00 a.m. Saturday until the time of service at High’s. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to assist with funeral expenses.
