McMinnville, TN resident and Lepanto, AR native William Sherman Fulton, age 83, was born August 13, 1934 and died October 19, 2017 in St. Thomas Rutherford Hospital in Murfreesboro, TN following an extended illness. A retired forklift driver with Carrier Corporation, a United States Army veteran of Korea, and a member of Trinity Baptist Church, he was the son of the late William Thomas and Callie Kirkland Fulton. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by daughter, Angie Thomas; two brothers, Harold and Jesse Fulton; and sister, Carmalene Payne. He was married on March 14, 1981 to Helen Young Fulton of McMinnville. In addition to his wife, he is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Sherri and Randy Taylor of McMinnville; son, David Fulton of McMinnville; fourteen grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; two step-daughters and spouses, Denise and Michael Alexander of Franklin, TN and Vicki and Terry Gallagher of McMinnville; step-son and spouse, Trent and Dana Roller of McMinnville; brother, Lewis Fulton of Florida; and several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, October 22, 2017 in High's Chapel with Phillip Rowland and Bobby Vickers officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Hill Cemetery at Trinity Baptist Church with full military honors administered by VFW Post 5064 and American Legion Post 173. Visitation will be Saturday from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. and from 12:00 p.m. until the time of service Sunday at High's.
